1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how the official extort.bio Discord application (the "Bot") handles information when you or your server interacts with it. It supplements the general information in our Policies & Security help article for the extort.bio website.
2. Information the Bot may process
Depending on how the Bot is used and configured, this may include:
- Discord identifiers — such as user IDs, server (guild) IDs, and channel IDs needed to deliver commands and features you invoke;
- Command and interaction payloads — text or options you submit to slash commands or buttons, for as long as needed to complete the request;
- Public Discord profile data— for example username, avatar, or presence-related fields exposed by Discord's APIs when you enable features that display them on extort.bio;
- extort.bio account linkage — where you connect Discord to an extort.bio account, we store the association needed to provide linked features (handled under the same infrastructure as the website).
We do not use the Bot to read or log ordinary server message content except as needed to process a command you trigger.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the Bot and extort.bio;
- Respond to interactions you initiate;
- Enforce our Terms of Service and comply with law where required.
4. Storage and service providers
Data may be processed on Discord's systems and, where applicable, on extort.bio backends (for example hosted databases or APIs). We use industry-standard safeguards for access to production systems.
5. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Some Discord-side data is controlled by Discord under their policies.
6. Children
Discord requires users to meet Discord's minimum age. The Bot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Bot.
7. Your choices
You can remove the Bot from a server using Discord's role and integration settings. You can disconnect linked services from extort.bio in your dashboard where the product supports it.
8. International users
If you access Discord or extort.bio from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
